A 19th century Italian, potentially Tuscany, primitive side table crafted in solid pine, with hand-forged decorative iron scroll supports. The circular top rests on a tapered column with traditional peg construction and four feet.
The table has developed a beautiful dry patina displaying a soft sun bleached tone which enhances its natural grain and texture. There are signs of historic woodworm and wear to the feet, consistent with age and use, yet it remains structurally sound.
Extremely tactile, will add beautiful warmth to a home. A very special and unique piece, I can’t find any other examples online.
