Antique Puglian Tree of Life Confit Jar

A 19th century confit jar from Puglia, featuring a beautiful hand-painted Tree of Life motif in a green glaze. Traditionally used for storing and preserving food, the jar displays a double-handle design, finished in a soft cream glaze. On the back, there are streaks of a yellow glaze, which would have come from another item in the kiln at the time of it being created. It has a charming, rustic patina reflective of its age.
