A French caged bamboo pendant in the manner of Louis Sognot, circa 1950s–60s. Cylindrical shade built from vertical bamboo rods bound in rattan, suspended on a chain of linked rattan rings. Inner cylindrical diffuser in an off white linen. Creates a soft diffused light when lit. At home over a dining table, in a hallway or in a bedroom.
Sympathetically restored, the original paper inner shade had degraded and has been replaced with period-appropriate linen, fitted with staples as per the original construction. The new staples are still visible against the aged rattan when up close, but much less so once the light is hung. Re-wired with a brown twisted rope cable. Otherwise in good vintage condition.

Royal Mail is used for smaller items on a 24hr service. Parcel Force for larger, which takes 2-3 working days to arrive.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
US CUSTOMERS: Customs fees now need to be paid upfront. After your order, we'll be in touch with an invoice. Your order will be shipped once this is paid.
Royal Mail is used for smaller items and takes 3-5 working days for Europe, 6-7 working days rest of the world. Larger items are sent via Parcel Force and arrive within the same time.
