French Studio Pottery Post-Modern Ceramic Teacup Set

A highly unique studio pottery teacup set from France circa 1980, potentially Vallauris. The set includes a teapot, 6 cups and saucers, a milk jug and a sugar pot.

Displaying strong postmodern character. Featuring geometric handles and lids, with the saucers in a “napkin” form. The cups alternate between blue, green, red and orange - a beautiful contrast between the cream earthenware body. Finished in a glossy glaze.

I adore the sculptural form of this set. Equally practical and decorative on a kitchen shelf. The under side of each piece is signed by the maker, which has not been identified. In excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, no cracks or chips.
